Wez Bike - Fairing Work
I have fitted some LED arrow indicators behind perforated Stainless in the fairing and Dave is sorting the paint. I have painted the Petrol tank in satin black and Dave at Z-Power has nearly assembled all the other parts into the frame. (He's been working very hard) He will return the bike to me on Monday so I can make/fit the Turbo tailpipe and a few other bits.
Wez Bike - Frame back from powder coating
I have finished all the frame mods after loosely fitting the seat, faring, rear light etc etc. I modified a Z1R front mudguard in keeping with the "style" and "de-lugged" the top yoke. Powder coating in satin black looks the part. I will deliver the frame to Dave at Z-Power so he can start fitting the parts he has been preparing while I was sorting the frame etc. I best get the fairing, clocks, rear mudguard, panels etc sorted only a week left to the Stafford show!
Wez Bike - Wez's frame is done!
This pic is the frame and tank to start the project. I have put on the first fairing bracket and found some yokes. I have now cut the back off the frame to fit the rear light and seat unit and welded the new fixings on (but lost the picture)
RC31 Flat Tracker - Street/flat tracker progress
The new rear sub frame has been crafted by Paul to incorporate the XR750 style seat unit, A new battery box has been made, a few more brackets and pipe/cable work to make everything fit then Colin can have the seat base for foam and vinyl. Next is to cut the side panel lugs off the tank, cut the front mudguard down to as small as possible, design colour scheme and then paint. Les says it has to be Harley Orange so Orange it is.
Turbo Kwack Special - The Turbo is on the road
I got the road Tax on Wednesday, picked a nice ally disc holder and its ready for road testing on Thursday. Its Thursday at last and the sun is out, cool !!!! The Turbo is a little low on fuel so its off to the station, £10 later and I have a date with the East Lanc's road. Nice power delivery, even with the waste gate set with zero boost (for now), power right through the range up to my self inflicted rev limit of 6000-7000 max. Didn't go past 70mph but it felt right, brakes and handling were good,...
